Good start, but your player control is slippery. You can disable drag in player rigidbody to make it more playable. Best of luck.

I have no idea how to find that setting could you tell me how to find it?
Are you using unity? or which game engine?
there is Angular Drag component in the RigidBody2D, you have to disable it.
